Summer Moons open the deep wells of power and action. The energy of the days give way to the intense vibrant creativity of the nights presided over by the Summer Moons. A Crone Summer

Vitality, energy, and life forces are in full flower, dancing as invisible waves upon the hot rays of the Summer Sun.

Gardens bloom under careful hands and quiet smiles, the scent of moist earth sparks an ancient memory, the pleasure of being. Grasses burst forth, again and again, fiercely proclaiming the supremacy of grains. Birds and Insects busily attend their tasks of cross species co-operation.

Summer Moonlight passes over the dewy youths, energetic and playful, the dreamy and wistful, who avoid the heat of the day. The leathery and ancient who have passed many summers with Sun and Moon. The parched and weary who have seen too many hours under an unrelenting sun.

Each welcomes the cooling, refreshing light of a Summer Moon. Each wishing upon the stars that bask in the lunar glow. Summer wishes are made with an intensity of heart that belongs to summer nights alone. Quietly gazing at the Moon brings a special peace, and in the distance, summer sounds softly fill the air.

The Crone moves across the sky in an ever-changing dance of Maiden~Mother~Crone, all Her aspects flow together as the year moves along its eternally renewing  path.

Autumn Moons

Summer Moons grow to ripeness as the season moves toward fall. The powers of the Autumn Moons grow rapidly. They hurry the crops and creatures, filling them with a sense of urgency. Ripeness seems to appear in an instant, after the long months of promise. Autumn Moons glow warm and abundant. They are the Moons of community and co-operation. All are busy. Some grasping at the last tendrils of summer, wanting to hold back the ever changing cycle, while other move quickly in a dance of winter preparation. Over all, the mesmerizing light of the Autumnal Moons sheds a golden glow.

A time of passages and maturity. The Autumn Moons bring the blessings of harvest and understanding. Insights are keen, and learning is rapid. Sharing and drawing together in celebration, weaves the fabric of community. It also a time of awareness, a time to see the fragility of all things, to reflect on the seasons. Autumn Moon's golden glow cools as it passes into the clear white light of the Winter Moons. haunting and enigmatic, the Winter Moons hold many secrets. It is the time of the Crone's fullness. All life rests under the cool light of Winter Moons. Sharp and precise, the Winter Moon preside over the time of rest and replenishment. Since time began, the Crone has held the mystery of dormant seeds, waiting for the return of Spring Moons.
